"Flirting With Flowers, Fabulous and Fantastic!"
Anyone who has been involved in the planning of a wedding or similarly emotional event (such as
a memorial or funeral), is well aware of the fact that this is undoubtedly one
of the times in our lives we may be the most vulnerable of consumers, something,
that is sadly, exploited by some vendors.
Considering myself an informed vendor, I had actually contemplated doing the flowers myself,
with the help of my bridal party. It was a somewhat daunting idea, but fears of
a budget being some monstrosity like those on “Rich Bride, Poor Bride” were
nagging me. Then I saw Janice’s ad for her company, “Flirting with Flowers” and
contacted her, explaining that I really wanted some nice flowers, but wasn’t
sure if I could afford them. She immediately put me at ease with her kindness
and understanding, assuring me we could work something out, within my budget. As
many of you may know, these are sometimes famous last words, followed by a hard
sell to upgrade (this happened with a potential reception venue).
Thankfully, Janice remained true to her word, and quite simply, blew us away. She spent
time with my husband and I, getting to know us, and it was quickly obvious that
she not only understood the vision we had for our wedding, but was thrilled by
her part in it. Janice is like no other florist I have ever heard of. She
welcomes you into her home and her life, making it blatantly obvious that she
wants to help you have the wedding you have always dreamed of.
Looking back on this event, I realize we would have been so stressed attempting to do our own
flowers and centre pieces, and they would have not been even a quarter as
beautiful as the works of art that she produced for us. She has wonderfully
creative ideas and is not afraid of trying something different. We were
especially impressed when she was willing to do multiple mock ups of our
centre pieces, determined to ensure we were happy with our planned look. As you
will see from the pictures we have included, you can see how these beautiful
bouquets, arrangements and centre pieces reflect the tender loving care she
exhibits to every flower within every arrangement. I’ve lost count of the number
of compliments on the fabulous flowers we had from our guests. Her communication
skills were excellent and to be honest, once I knew we were in her capable hands
I didn’t worry, confident everything would go off without a hitch , and not only
did she meet those expectations, but passed them again and again!
Janice, thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication, you were such an integral
part to making our dream day a reality. Anyone who is lucky enough to become a
client and friend (as it appears these are one in the same with you), is truly
blessed indeed!
